She begged him to write her a handwritten letter. In the age where you could speak everyday, where you could run to an Internet Cafe to chat with your beloved who was miles away, she insisted on the most romantic format of communication.
Young love.
He succumbed. Despite his squiggly writing, he put pen to paper and poured his heart out. The words flowed easily. The moment he had seen her at the playing field, kicking the football towards him, he had known she would be his wife.
Long distance never is easy. But reading the letter, convinced her it would work. She was self conscious of the fact that he had referred her as his wife, and though she felt they were too young to make that commitment, she couldn't help feel giddy with happiness.
Caught Red Handed
Days passed by. The letter, smelling of sweet romance, shyly sat in her wallet. Till one day she forgot it at her parents home. Frantic calls to her younger sister to recover the wallet before her parents get hold of it, made the situation even more suspicious.
And that's how their love was discovered.
