So, you think you know it all?
Then you haven't looked around,
So much to learn from Nature
- it's beauty that surrounds
Air, Fire, Water & Earth
different elements but one in spirit!
They teach man the 'Power of Union'
Coexist, embrace harmony, together man knows no limits!
Fruits & flowers we pluck, uprooting them
Our benefits they serve - of food, worship, mere decore...
They teach man value of service, despite death!
Find joy in being selfless & make love not war!
The mighty Sun, the illustrious giver,
humbly sets each night for the rising Moon
Together they teach man of humility, of letting go of the disastrous ego...
However big, you need to step back at times, for a greater boon!
So, you still think you know it all?
Then you forget and ignore that you are just a ' Man in the Universe'
Learning is immense, hidden in each second, each moment!
Open up your self & in nature let your being immerse!

What would I do without the Write Tribe prompt's I wonder!! So, you think you know it all - this cue has been provided by Jairam Mohan, one of my favorite bloggers whose fiction and mythological related posts are brilliant, effortless and definitely keep you coming back for more!

Deleteso true. we do not respect all we have around us.
ReplyDeleteYes Tex...we don't appreciate...don't learn...taking everything for granted!
DeleteAh! wonderful....but Aditi, I am having trouble reading.
ReplyDelete:( :( Why?? The background or the font...tell me!!
DeleteThanks dear :)
DeleteSo true. We are just a person in the universe. Beautifully expressed. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheethal :)
DeleteA wonderful reminder that man coexists with everything else in the universe. Difficult to read because of the background. If you could center your text in the middle of the light colored space it would work. ♥ Loved your poem!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy! Hope you are able to read properly now...there was a problem with the link, thanks for letting me know! ♥

ReplyDeleteVery well said with the lines.
ReplyDeleteThanks Indrani :)
DeleteThe background Aditi is still not correct. Or the setting of your blog has some issue. Besides that yes the poetry is very beautiful. And the way you have expressed the nature and its immense knowledge is very apt when see the prompt..
ReplyDeleteRicha
Thanks Richa, glad you liked it :) The issue was with the link...stands corrected now!
DeleteSorry, but I'm unable to read the complete text because of the background.

ReplyDeleteyou have expressed it so well.. lovely take on the prompt :)
Thank a lot :)
DeleteThat was a beautiful attempt. Indeed we do not know anything. We are just learning something or the other every second and nature definitely is the Mother who has immense knowledge.
ReplyDeleteYes Rekha a lot to learn from our Mother Nature! Thanks for coming back :)
DeleteLovely take on the prompt. Everyone is always on the learning curve in my opinion. :)
ReplyDeleteTrue Jyoti...yes we are always learning...all our lives!!

DeleteNice poem Aditi! Nice job running with the cue.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shefali :)
DeleteThat was a nice encouragement! The benefits we gain from pondering upon The Story of The Creation cannot be counted, but humility is one. When we understand every thing Adam discovered is an aspect of the human being, we will loose any pride. God bless your week!
ReplyDeleteYou have put it so well Anders!! Thanks :)
DeleteBeautiful! The universe is indeed amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Loredana :)
DeleteI couldn't agree with you more.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kerry :)
Deletei def think there is a lot we can learn from nature, if we take the time to slow down enough to notice...

ReplyDeleteGreat I could strike a chord there...thanks!!

Oh yes...miles to go before I sleep!!
Deletestriking poem...the more you see .. you realize how much more there is...
ReplyDeleteThank you :) so true!!
DeleteI always think the human race is sort of accidental on this beautiful planet of ours. We seem incapable of honoring the elements ... instead, we try to corral them and shape them into something we want. This was a thought-provoking and awesome poem.
ReplyDeleteWell said Kim! We need to realize and fast our standing in this vast universe...respect the elements and now give back what it's given to us all these years...
DeleteThis is something to think....nice! Well-put thoughts.....
ReplyDeleteThanks Sreeja :)
